WRECKAGE | A Charity Screening and Q&A

Following its sold-out screening at the WA Made Film Festival, Phoenix Support and Advocacy Service is proud to host a special one-night-only charity screening of Wreckage – a powerful, independently produced WA film exploring the realities of domestic violence and interpersonal harm.

Described by audiences as confronting, important, and necessary, Wreckage tells the story of a young woman who escapes one controlling relationship only to find herself trapped in another. It is a film that speaks honestly to experiences that too many people in our community know firsthand.

This is not just a screening, it is a conversation. Following the film, a panel of filmmakers and specialist DV/FV practitioners will come together for a 45-minute Q&A, offering audiences a rare opportunity to engage directly with the people who made the film and the people doing this work in our community every day.

The evening will be opened with a welcome address from WA Minister Simone McGurk, and hosted by Louise Lamont, CEO of Phoenix Support and Advocacy Service.

ABOUT PHOENIX
Phoenix Support and Advocacy Service is a Perth-based specialist organisation supporting adult survivors of child sexual abuse through counselling, advocacy, and education. Phoenix relies on community fundraising to keep these services accessible to survivors across Western Australia, regardless of their financial circumstances. All proceeds from this event go directly toward that work.
