Station Street Fitness opens the doors of its new Claremont studio with a free community Open Day on Saturday 15 August, from 8:00am to 10:00am. Doors open at 7:30am. Entry is free, all ages are welcome, and there are 40 spots available.
The morning is built so anyone can take part. It opens with a coached group session scaled to whatever level you train at, whether you have been training for years or have not set foot in a gym before. A live DJ plays across the two hours, and the coaching team will be on the floor to answer questions about training, programming and what the studio actually does day to day.
Local makers and producers will be on site through the morning, including Pressed Earth cold pressed juices, Side Piece, Etto and Made Monday.
What to bring
Training gear, running shoes and a water bottle. Parking at the studio is free. Tickets are free but limited, so registering ahead is worth it.
A Cottesloe studio moving to Claremont
Station Street Fitness has run in Perth’s western suburbs since 2018. The Open Day marks its move to Claremont, at Unit 2/26 St Quentin Avenue, in the heart of the Claremont town centre. The studio opens for business on Monday 17 August.
It is an independent, owner run studio rather than a chain. Owner and head coach Adrien Toro has built the business over eight years and carries a 5.0 star rating from more than 100 Google reviews, with a training community that has followed the studio across suburbs. The new space was designed in collaboration with Georgia Donaldson Architects.
The coaching team includes Sam Do, the 2021 AFL Community Coach of the Year and Head of Strength and Conditioning at West Perth Football Club.
How the training works
Station Street Fitness runs small group coached sessions across four programs. Strength builds through twelve to sixteen week cycles. Metcon is conditioning work. Capacity develops aerobic base and work rate. Mobility covers range of motion and movement quality. Members train across all four, and every new member starts with a complimentary 45 minute movement assessment with a coach before their first session.
There are no lock in contracts and no joining fee. Memberships can be cancelled with two weeks notice.
