Blue Beats Mental Health will be hosting a fundraiser in support of beyondblue and lifeline.
On Saturday 7th October, Blue Beats Mental Health will be hosting a beyondblue and lifeline fundraiser to raise awareness and money that will help improve the lives of people in Australia affected by anxiety, depression and suicide.
The event will involve three bands, a guest speaker and raffles. It will take place at The Peninsula Tavern in Maylands from 6.30pm.
Blue Beats Mental Health has decided to support beyondblue and lifeline to raise awareness and help remove the stigma of mental health issues. Blue Beats Mental Health was established by Salv Casilli in 2016. Salv, having experienced anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts, wanted to increase awareness and decrease the stigma associated with mental health issues.
Being a musician, teacher and Beyond Blue Lived Experience Speaker, Salv thought music would be a perfect conduit to bring people together, share experiences, establish positive connections and reinforce that you are not alone and that help is available. This coming event will be our seventh annual Blue Beats. As always musicians, family and friends volunteer their time and talents.
Community members are encouraged to get involved by attending the event and enjoy the music and share in raising awareness and reducing stigma associated with mental health illness.
All funds raised will be donated to beyond blue and Lifeline.
